Supermirror-The cat is alive/dead exhibition／超级镜子-薛定谔猫之生死
In quantum theory, an uncertain quantum state can be demonstrated through the principle of superposition. The peculiarities of bringing microscopic quantum superposition into the macroscopic world is highlighted via the Schrödinger’s Cat paradox. Supermirror focuses on the experience of a quantum superposition in the gallery space, by utilising an oscillating mirror which reflects blue and red lights onto various points in the corridor. As the viewer first enters the corridor they will be lit in one of the colours – the collapse of the superposition – but as they remain in the space they will experience the revival of quantum physics, a peek into the world of Schrödinger’s Cat.
Supermirror - the cat is alive/dead exhibition March 2015 in Crypt Gallery.
